This is L.O.V.E

Isaiah 53

1 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.

4 Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

7 He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.
9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it was the LORD’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the LORD makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand.
11 After he has suffered,
he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.

....its all about L.O.V.E!!!!!

Sometimes listening from far about kids in the north suffering, one may not really understand it unless one sees them with her or his own eyes. We all suffer in this world one way or another and there are some that suffer more than other. Recently I traveled to Pader, a district in northern Uganda, which is far away from Kampala. My trip was not in vain, I should say.

Reason why I traveled up north was to see kids in SomeOne Cares 4 U who are mostly helped by one of our dear friend, Ruth. All these kids go to the same church and some of them are in school already whereas a few of them are yet to begin.

I was able to chat with some of these lovely children with Ruth’s help (she was my interpreter). What broke my heart was finding out that most of the parents to these children drink lots of alcohol and care less for them. Some of the children here struggle to see themselves through school. During holidays, most of the boys get to do some casual work as well as the some girls. They help in laying bricks, break stones, collect and sell firewood and also dig on peoples’ farms for money which they use as school fees. For 50peices of bricks laid, one is paid 1000/=.

The school being a Uganda Primary Education one, they pay 4000/= for school fees which is less than $2…..shocking!! Many of them do not have books, if they have, they have about 2. Their uniforms are torn, some have no shoes, no school bags…………so sad!!

Amidst all the unfortunate, these children love God, and in my heart, I believe that they can grow more in love with Christ. Some of the kids do not speak English but can understand it sometimes. Ruth, who is helping out has a hard to task teaching them about Christ. She dances and sings with them most of the times. My prayer is that she will not do this alone, that you and I shall give in a hand to help her. Only 21,000/= (Ug Shs), which is about $10, or 7 pounds for school fees as well as the school materials. You might not be able to give all of this, but the little you can give will bless a child today. Be apart of the great vision. Balls of any kind, colors, coloring sheets, clothes, old books, etc all these will put a smile on their faces. Let us do this together.

The Blind Man.

Many times I wonder what its like to be blind, unable to see the beauty of the creator, the wonderful cities that are crowded with people, the beautiful water bodies, hill tops, mountains and so many things. unable to see the food that he eats, to see his toes, to see the color brown and red....and above all, he's unable to see how he looks like in the mirror.

On the streets he stands and sings aloud, with a metallic bowl for coins on the ground. He sings with his coarse voice hoping to make some money just to have a meal for the night. Everyday he gets up early to sing for the so called "busy humans" who never pay attention to his job, not even a coin. To them, he is nothing, he is invisible, he is worthless.

When I look intensely at all these humans, some are tense because of not unpaid salaries, some have deadlines to meet, for some, their marriages are failing, some are just uncertain about where to go or where to start in life but for this blind man, he doesnot care about all that, he just wants a meal for the night. His life is not burdensome like all these other people, deep down in his soul.......he sings because he's content about his life, for this is all part of God's unrevealed plan.

A life of contentment is all we need to be able to see life like the blind man. We might not be physically blind today or forever but we need to choose to be content in our Father.

The gift of friends....

I can't start by listing all the friends I have made this year but aleast I can mention that friends are the greatest assets one can ever have on earth.

I am so grateful for the beautiful and encouraging heart that the Lord has showed to me this year all the way from Sweden, Germany, The States and Africa at large.

May our Dad in Heaven bless you, my friends!!!

Love you so much...........

When Love came down..........

...many times we look so many places for love and yet our eyes are blinded by darkness yet if we open our eyes, we shall see.....LOVE!!!

I love to love and love is part of my life.......I am so amazed by John 3:16 " For He loved me(us) so much that He sent His only son to die for me(us)......." I totally accept Him, cause without His Love am not quite sure where I would be.

This year especially these last four months of school have been the best yet the most challenging in my life. I have made decisons that I would not have made as a human, I have been exposed to that which I can not even spell out but throught it all, I have been a good student. I have lost friends and at the same time, I have made really good friends. My family is growing but at the same time, my loved ones have deceased. I have had lots of fun with friends but also experienced sorrow.....how strange!! But in this, I have learnt to trust the One Man who owns my life, My Father....Yahew, forever Yahew!!

"Lord, I give up my own plans and purposes, my own desires and hopes and accept Thy Will for my life. I give myself, my life and my all utterly to Thee to be Thine. Fill me and seal me with your Holy Spirit. Use me as Thou Wil, send me where Thou wilt, work out Thy whole will in my life at any cost now and forever."

May His Will be done

Many times we think we can be something without the consent of God but that is sick. We are in this world because He has given us life and because he loves us.

"for I alone know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you,not to harm you, Plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremaih 29:11.

From this verse, we learn that God has already planned out our lives, we just need to allow that by letting his will be done.
Many attimes, we try to run away from what he has planned fo us, that is why many people turn out to be broken but If we let Him have His way in ouir lifes, everything works out the way he has planned.

My sister, and brother, let God's will be done in our life as I have done.

Prayer – He will answer

We can trust God that when we pray to Him, He will answer. It may not be immediately, it may not be exactly what we want. But we can be assured that it will be for our good and according to His sovereign plan and purpose.

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." (Matthew 7 v 7-8).

Prayer

Thank you that you answer all my prayers and I can come before you with a full assurance to your blessing. Help me to concentrate on you will for life, as I give you free access to change me.
